Wonderful scenery, fresh air and the opportunity to get up close and personal with local people, communities and places of interest, cycling is the original green way to travel and there is simply no better way to get to know a visitor destination.
Velodays offer servives to cyclists, visitor destinations, charities, corporate clients as well as publishing cycle tourism websites. We would be delighted to explore any support we can offer.
In 2011, we created Ride the North as a new cycling event for the north of Scotland. As the home of castles, whisky, the Grampian mountains and thousands of miles of near empty roads, the event has grown into a two day tour of the Grampian Highlands. With over 100 riders in 2012, the 2013 event seems set to attract many more participants as the event becomes one of the fixtures in the diaries of local cyclists and visitors alike.
Cycling is one of the UKs fastest growing leisure pursuits and one of the fastest growing sectors in international tourism.
We work with visitor desinations to develop the cycling product, as well as with charities and corporate clients to develop and manage cycling events and challenges.
“ Velodays work closely with visitor desinations to establish the best routes for cycle tourism and to effectively promote the cycle tourism product. Our work includes running Scotland\\\'s most comprehensive cycling website (featuring over 300 routes) and we are working on the development of new products to feed the growing demand for leisure and holiday cycling.”
